Short Bio
I am an artist with a love of detail and texture. I have been passionate about art my whole life but chose a career as a clinical social worker. I was honored to work with people around the issues of trauma and pain. Now I am retired and painting full time. I am both a watercolor artist as well as have a passion for other mediums. In my watercolors, I am drawn to paint subjects that tell a story. The main themes of my work are strength, resilience and the passage of time as it relates to all one endures in a life. With this theme in mind, I explore my New England town in search of subjects to paint. I study abandoned barns, wooden doors, old rock walls and miscellaneous rusty objects that symbolize the passing of time, strength, resilience and endurance. I also love to paint wildlife as the beauty of nature is a powerful symbol of strength and peace to me. In my other art work I play with acrylics and printing to express my love of detail and texture in abstract. I hope you find something that speaks to you in my paintings.
